"Home James! And don't spare the horses."
- Queen Victoria (late 1800s)
The famous phrase, "Home James...", was rumoured to have been a favorite expression of Queen Victoria. You see, she had a carriage driver by the name of James Darling. And although Victorian high society traditionally called their staff by their surnames, calling out, "Home, Darling", would have caused heads to turn in disapproval. So, it is said that Mr. Darling became more commonly addressed by the queen as simply, "James".
OUR Cordial Limousine chauffeurs and chauffeuses
Due to our busy schedule, a couple of drivers and vehicles were not available all at one time for a complete group shot. However, here is a good representation of our Fall 2009 tribe.
Left to Right: Steven ~ chauffeur (with "Josephine"), Tina ~ chauffeuse (with "Lucy"), Denise ~ chauffeuse (with our new all-weather "Caddy SUV"), Val ~ chauffeur (with "Black Beauty"), Paul ~ chauffeur (with our 14-passenger Ford Excursion SUV).
Not shown above are Alex (chauffeur with "White Beauty") and Timothy (chauffeur with "Corporate Ninja", our smallest Lincoln stretch limo at a 6-passenger ranking).
Our chauffeurs and chauffeuses who make up our team of drivers, will be posting photos. And just for kicks, we'll also ask each driver for a brief bio to post below.
Here is our listing of drivers by first name. This list is updated intermittently.
Cordial Limousine Drivers
|
Alex ~ [to be photographed and interviewed soon for this page] .... Our original chauffeur at Cordial Limousine, Alex is focusing more now on overseeing preventive maintenance of the fleet. Yet, he still manages to put on a tie and get behind the wheel. He is centrally located in the City of Sammamish, which is at the heart of King County.
|
 |
| Denise ~ Yet to be interviewed for this page.... Our first chauffeuse at Cordial Limousine (chauffeuse being the feminine version of chauffeur). However, we have found that we need her skills more for keeping the office running (not as fun, but very necessary). So, we are asking her to hand more of the driving over to others as scheduling allows. Yet, Denise still drives for special occasions. |
 |
| Steven ~ Yet to be interviewed for this page.... Steven is another person who has made a career out of driving people to locations and events with safety and comfort as the priorities, with a pleasant experience and cheerful attitude as frosting on the cake. |
 |
| Kent ~ Kent originally trained as a Registered Professional Civil Engineer. He transitioned from engineering to the marketing and sales arena now having 20 years of experience in marketing and business development. Kent is a part-time driver who spends the balance of his time in business development activities for Cordial Limousine and other companies. |
 |
| Tina ~ Christina is another "chauffeuse" for Cordial Limousine; joining our team in mid 2009, ... and we yet to catch her for long enough to do an interview for her intersts which she may like to share here. |
 |
| Adam ~ Adam is Cordial Limousine's latest chauffeur, joining our team this past winter ... and we will attempt to interview him soon for the intersts he may like to share here. |
|
Tim ~ Timothy is a member of The Institute of Professional Drivers and Chauffeurs, and came on board in the spring of 2009.

He is a part-time driver with our team, yet, he is not new to acting as chauffeur to celebrities and others. Tim is actually a "semi-retired" commercial artist and IT (Information Technology) man, having worked and lived in a various countries, and during that time he enjoyed volunteering to be the designated driver.
Timothy has decades of safe driving recorded and has enjoyed chauffeuring people as a fun sideline over the years; including driving privately for people with special needs (blind, etcetera), or volunteering for organizations (developmentally disabled children and their parents, etcetera), as well as driving for celebrities with household names; singers, musicians, comedians, and more.
Tim has also refreshed his professional driving education with the 2010 Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the National Safety Council, succesfully completed the 2010 Seattle & King County Professional Drivers' Course, and received the 2010 For-Hire Driver License from King County.
At Right: Timothy flighing out of Sea-Tac International Airport.
Our drivers often enjoy reserving a limo and driver for a lift to and from the airport; such as when catching a 3:00 AM flight. Tim prefers not to ask dear friends to wake so early, especially if that friend is working the following day. ;-)
|

Drivers also enjoy use of limos from the passenger pe... such as when catching a 3:00 AM flight... and they would rather not ask friends to wake so early.

And perhaps other, not yet posted...
We may have other drivers and will post their data when it becomes available, so that you may get an idea of the variety in personalities, interests, and professionalism we attract.

Our team of friendly drivers started several years ago with Alex & Denise (Mr. & Mrs. Craciun) as the original chauffeur and chauffeuse at Cordial Limousine. Each year that we add another car, we also manage to find another talented and "cordial" (friendly) driver.
Please understand that we cannot keep a full staff at all hours. It seems that reservations are never dispersed that evenly.
Yet, we are often able to accommodate short-notice needs (less than 24 hours notice) by asking a driver to be "on call", somewhat like a fireman, and do their best to handle the shorter-notice runs within King County, Washington at almost any hour.
Yet, unlike a fireman, our chauffeurs commonly have further distances to travel, and when the hours get too long, they must go "off call" to get a reasonable amount of sleep to drive alertly.
We now have our limousine fleet scattered somewhat about the county to better handle these "on call" requests. However, unlike taxi cabs you may see lined up with drivers often living behind the wheels, our drivers have very full lives and often will require a few minutes to change roles and put on a tie.
As stated on the Home Page, we ask to be given at least 24-hour advance reservation requests. This better allows us to schedule a particular limo and notify the available driver of special requests you may have (such as ice and requested beverages). If you have a more urgent request, we ask that you understand that the driver(s) will need to accommodate the earlier scheduled run first and do "on call" runs between prior obligations.
